C. Pauli takes over the Kafka ribbon weaving mill

C. Pauli is delighted to have taken over the Kafka ribbon weaving mill in Wuppertal-Langerfeld in September 2018 - with new impetus, fresh ideas and a love of craftsmanship, the site with its antique looms, museum and passionate employees will be preserved.

The Kafka ribbon weaving mill has an eventful history behind it - for over 100 years, 25 Jacquard looms have been rattling and rattling around producing ribbons, labels and initials - there are virtually no limits to shape, colour and design and customers around the world enjoy the traditionally crafted ribbons.

Since autumn 2018, production has resumed on the looms, which are over 100 years old. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer regular guided tours of the ribbon weaving mill, which is a listed building. However, interested visitors will still be able to admire the ribbons, the history of the Bergisch textile industry and the craftsmanship of the weavers in the future. The Bergisch villa next to the ribbon weaving mill is currently being renovated. Once the renovation work is complete, the precious ribbons will once again be on display and for sale. On the upper floor of the building, light-flooded course rooms will be created in which we will organise a wide variety of creative workshops. Until the opening of our shop - and of course beyond - you can order our high-quality ribbons in our online shop.

Today we, C. Pauli, want to break new ground, work even closer to our customers and develop and preserve trends as well as traditions and design fashionable ribbons. But what is most important to us is to preserve this valuable craftsmanship. We look forward to travelling this path together with you.
